Socket secures the tail of the wire rope to the wedge to eliminate wedge loss and the need for an extra piece of wire rope. Also eliminates potential breaking off of the tail from fatigue. Pin diameter and jaw opening allows wedge and socket to be used in conjunction with closed swage and spelter sockets.
